Being hailed by Indiewire as "the Meryl Streep of Independent Cinema", Kate Lyn Sheil is one of the most in demand and sought after actresses in the independent film space. Justin Chon's feature JAMOJAYA, THE SEEDING opposite Scott Haze for director Barnaby Clay and Robert Greene's KATE PLAYS CHRISTINE which follows Kate preparing to portray the role of Christine Chubbuck, a real-life news reporter who killed herself on national television in 1974. Other recent credits include Alex O Eaton's MOUNTAIN REST, Michael Tyburski's THE SOUND OF SILENCE, WHITE ECHO directed by Chloe Sevigny, and  BRIGSBY BEAR, directed by Dave McCary.

In the television arena, Kate recently starred in Amazon's SWARM & she has had a number of meaningful roles in Robert Kirkman's OUTCAST,  in the critically acclaimed Netflix series HOUSE OF CARDS, HBO's HIGH MAINTENANCE and in the Starz series, THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE created by Amy Seimetz (Sundance Premiere)
